Q. What are the ongoing costs after the site is completed?
A. There are no hosting fees and the schools can update their documents and photos themselves.
Q. When is full payment for the completed website required?
A. Webfeats does not require any part payment during the process and will invoice your school only after the website is online at your school web address and the web update training at your school has been carried out.
Q. Our school wants to be able to send notifications to parents. Can we do this through the website?

Q. What do I do to get the process started?
A. Contact Web Feats to arrange a time to meet at your school for a free, no obligation, consultation. Schools outside100km radius of Sale should email or telephone to discuss their needs.
Q. Will my school need to get a domain name or find a web hosting service?
A. No. Most schools will already have a domain name set up by their governing education sector even if they currently do not have a website online at their school domain address.
Q. Do I have to pay ongoing fees after the website is completedand online?
A. No. Web Feats for Schools does not sell Content Management Systems (CMS) that will tie you to expensive ongoing costs for as long for as long as your website is online - just to update. Why would you buy a website with an expensive Content Management System when you don't need it? Small schools cannot afford to spend their precious education funds in this way. With a Web Feats for Schools website you pay one package price. That's it. The core business of education does not change for schools but your programs, policies, handbooks, transition dates, price lists, year level forms and school newsletters etc do. Q. Does Web Feats For Schools sell hosting?
A. No. Web Feats does not sell hosting. Currently government schools do not pay for hosting if their website is hosted by their school internet provider.
Q. Where does my website image & text content come from?
A.Text content comes from what you supply. Schools normally supply a digital copy of their current school handbook along with other information that can be repurposed for the web. Web Feats will come to your school to take photos for the image content if your school is within a 200km radius of Sale in Gippsland.
Q. How do I decide on what content to include?
A. Web Feats will provide suggestions as to what best to include in your school website. After the initial consultation & discussion you will be emailed a detailed sitemap based on those areas you indicated you wanted to include. It will include the global menu headings, individual page titles and suggested dot points for content on each page. Your appoval for the sitemap will be required before any site construction commences.
Q. What about images of Special Programs such as Camps?
A. Images need to be supplied by all schools for special programs such as camps, sport, school productions etc.Most of these can be copied from your school server when Web Feats comes to the school. Alternatively images can uploaded to Dropbox or copied to USB and sent to Web Feats via Australia Post.
Q. What external links to other websites should be included on my school website?
A. That is entirely a matter for you however if your school has any social media accounts such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc it would be sensible to include links to them.
Q. Who writes the site content for the pages?
A. Web Feats sources and re purposes for the web, most of the text content for you from your existing handbooks and other school publications. This saves you valuable time as most of the generic information you will choose to put on your school web pages will already exist in school documents.
Q. How does consultation take place during the web construction phase?
A. Usually via email or phone . You be provided with an interim web address to preview your site pages online so you can provide feedback.
Q. How long will the construction process take?
A. As a rough guide around one term would be required.
Q. When it's complete how does our school update photos and linked documents?
A. For schools within a 100km radius of Sale in Gippsland, on site training for staff in updating your website is included. For schools beyond a 100km radius there is an additional charge for travel. At the time of training, all schools will also be supplied with custom video tutorials, support notes & free software to enable you to update your website content.
Q. What if our school does not have the staff time available to update the website?

Web Feats for Schools is always there for schools who need support with their websites.Web Feats retains original copies of all school websites and the ability to connect to the school host server should any files ever need to be restored.
